Who is she?
Lexie Coulum (b. 1996) is a multidisciplinary visual artists working with photography, video, computer graphics, and installation. Coulum grew up in Kingston, New York and since childhood has always considered herself an artist, however it wasn’t until attending the New York Summer School of the Arts residency program (Oswego, NY) in 2013 that she delved deep into the world of still imaging. She spent months in the darkroom, perfecting her understanding of light and film. This intrigue quickly lead her to the digital world of photography. In 2014, Coulum began studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and is finished her BFA in May 2018.
She has worked for companies such as Masque Media (Justine Foord), Philip Guston Estate, Wander Beauty, World of Wonder, Deva Curl, Inked Magazine and more. Coulum is the founder of the Creative Collective of 4S and was a co-founder of the New School Magazine. She has been published in Dreamingless Magazine, Inked Magazine, Blush Magazine, The New School Magazine and more. As well as exhibited work in American Splendour: New Photography and FIT’s Senior Photography Exhibition: Untitled Folder.
